Fees for industrial slots: Equivalent to fees for International students with the exception of industries collaborating with NIV or candidates sponsored by small-scale industries. The candidates from industries having collaborative projects with NIV and candidates from small-scale industries pay the regular fees.

The students from other disciplines / departments of Pune University would pay regular fees for the credits offered at NIV if the course is non-aided. The students from aided course shall pay Rs. 1000/- per credit for the credits offered at NIV.

Note: There is possibility of increase in the fees by 10%

  All migrant students of J & K will have to appear for entrance test. Only one student from this category will be admitted to this course over and above the sanctioned intake capacity on the basis of merit and other rules and regulations applicable as per Government norms.

International students need to apply through INTERNATIONAL STUDENT'S CENTRE, UNIVERSITY OF PUNE. (intcent.unipune.ernet.in/site/eligibility.htm). These students need not appear for entrance test.

Sponsored candidates:
• Sponsored candidates would find a place, which is over and above the numbered regular seats.
• A maximum eight sponsored candidates would be admitted.
• Sponsored candidate should be eligible as per minimum eligibility criteria for M. Sc. Virology course
• The admission of sponsored candidates will depend on discretion of Director NIV and Director IBB on fulfilling the minimum necessary eligibility.
• The sponsored candidates need not appear for the entrance test, however, should use format provided for online application and make application to the Director, IBB along with the sponsorship letter
• The deadlines for application and admission for sponsored candidate are 25th and 30th June, 2006 respectively

Sponsoring organizations:
1. Central Government Departments / Agencies may sponsor their employees/ fellows.
2. Industry may sponsor a candidate by providing the evidence that the industry is working on projects related to viral diseases or willing to take up project in the field of viral diseases. The industry-sponsored candidates must be employee of the industry.
