Number and Names of sections in question paper

The Test for M.Sc. admission will comprise of two Sections – Multiple Choice and Short Answer type questions. The Test will be of two hours duration.

Section I: multiple-choice questions.

Section II: short answer questions
 

 

Section wise weightage of marks

Section I(Part I) –  120 marks
Section II(Part II) – 80 marks
 
 

Number of Questions

Part I comprises of compulsory 60 multiple-choice questions.

Part II contains 12 short answer questions and the candidate is required to solve any 8 questions out of these 12.

 
 

Marks per question

Section I
[60 Questions x 02 marks] = 120 marks

Section II
[Any 08 Questions x 10 marks] = 80 marks.

Passing criteria

For General Category – 5% of Maximum obtainable marks in Entrance test.

For Reserved Category - 1% of Maximum obtainable marks in Entrance test.
