The top fifteen students perusing M.Sc. will receive fellowship of Rs.2,000/- per month, which are instituted by IGIB (GN Ramachandran fellowships) and the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. It might also be possible to award studentship to a few other students from DBT. The initial award of the scholarship/studentship and its continuance would be based in the decision of an interviewing committee and performance by the candidate in the entrance test/internal assessment tests/semester-end examinations etc.
