Merit List / Admission Rules

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any faculty from a statutory University. Those who have appeared for their final degree examination may also apply, but their admission (in case they are selected on the basis of performance in the Entrance Test) will be confirmed only after they submit the final degree examination mark-list.

  • All candidates must appear for the Entrance Test on the date specified in the admission notice. Admission is strictly on merit in the Entrance Test in their respective categories.

  • The Entrance Test consists of written examination, DTP test and personal interview. After the written test, a list of candidates of Open category qualified to appear for personal interviews and DTP test will be displayed on the department's notice board.

  • The no. of candidates in this list will be up to three times the number of seats available for the Open Category.

  • All the candidates from the Reserved Categories who appear for the written test will be invited for interview and DTP test.

  • The personal interview is conducted by a panel of three experts including the Head of the Department.

  • The DTP test shall consist of copying the content and format of an A-4 size page given to the candidate at the time of test using MS-Word / PageMaker. \

  • Candidates will be given content to type in the language chosen by them (English or Marathi) to answer the written test of 100 marks. Candidate's typing speed, knowledge of formatting and other processes (From creating a file to printing will be assessed in this test.)

Admission should be done as per ordinance 181.

Minimum marks requirement for the students from other University is as Follows :
For General Category – 5% of Maximum obtainable marks in Entrance test. For Reserved Category - 1% of Maximum obtainable marks in Entrance test
